 World's largest open-air mall, Ala Moana Shopping Center, is located right here in Hawaii. As many people visit Hawaii every year, shopping is one of the top leisures people enjoy in Hawaii.  Ala Moana Shopping Center is approximately 2.4 million square feet and has 350 stores, including retails, restaurants and services. The shopping mall first opened in 1959 and recently celebrated its 60 year anniversary. Even with 11,000 parking spaces in the mall, finding parking spaces can be difficult here as there are many visitors to the mall on daily basis. 

  There are over 100 food services you can find in the shopping mall and many food vendors in four food courts, including the two biggest: Shirokiya Japan Village and Makai Food Court. The top floor, 4th floor of the mall has 10 restaurants including California Pizza Kitchen, Romano's Macaroni Grill, Island Fine Burgers & Drinks, Korean BBQ, Hibachi, and Chinese restaurant. Shirokiya Japan Village food court on the first floor is not only popular to tourists but also locals as it is a great place to hang out after work for the food court's affordable menus and cold beer.   

 Ala Moana Shopping Center is approximately 20-minute driving distance from Daniel K. Inouye Airport and walking distance from Waikiki. Visitors and locals come here to enjoy social gathering and shopping. There are 8 department stores like Bloomingdale's, Macy's, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom and Saks Fifth Avenue. High end fashion brands such as Prada, Chanel, Burberry and Brunello Cucinelli can all be found here.
