Koa Pancake House is a fast casual restaurant that offers traditional breakfast and lunch plates with a Hawaiian flair. Known for its reasonable prices, generous portions, and quick service, it has become a popular choice for dining.
In 1988, the husband and wife duo, Il Man and Sam Soon Chung, opened their first dine-in breakfast and lunch restaurant on the island of Oahu. Designed using Hawaiian koa, one of the finest textured woods in the world, the first Koa Pancake House was born.
To expand the brand, the Chungs decided to open a second location in 2001, aiming to provide a fast casual dining experience. Since then, six Koa Pancake Houses have been established across the island.
In 2014, the business remained in the family when Juno Chung, the son of Il Man and Sam Soon, took over. He plans to expand the brand throughout the Hawaiian Islands and make Koa Pancake House the premier breakfast and lunch option not only in Hawaii but across the continental United States as well.
