After 26 years of service in the Navy, Cleveland native Mr. Hughley moved to Hawaii with his family and discovered a deep passion for cooking beyond his military career. What began as a home-based catering business quickly evolved into a successful company.
Mr. Hughley was greatly inspired by his grandmother. Many cherished memories spent with his grandmother from Arkansas laid the foundation for his culinary skills, as she taught him everything he knows. To honor his mother and grandmother, he originally named the restaurant "Ken Nae's," but later changed it to "Hughley's," pronounced "Hue-glee."
From a young age, Mr. Hughley dreamed of becoming a chef and owning his own restaurant. This dream has now come true, allowing him to share his culture and love for cooking with both Hawaii residents and visitors. At Hughley's, you can experience flavorful and soulful dishes, which are also available from their two food trucks. If you're lucky, you might catch Chef Hughley himself working alongside some of his children at either the restaurant or the food trucks.
Hughley's offers more than just a meal—it provides a special experience filled with rich flavors and heartfelt cooking. Enjoy authentic and heartfelt cuisine in Hawaii at Hughley's.
