Jagalchi is a small, hole-in-the-wall Korean restaurant with about 10 tables. It is renowned for its Sul-lung-tang (beef bone soup), which is popular for curing hangovers in the morning. The soup is hearty, with plenty of meat and tendons, and is quite good for its low price. However, other dishes like soondooboo (spicy tofu), spicy squid, bibimbap (rice with vegetables), and dolsotbap (rice with vegetables in a hot stone pot) were found to be bland.
The service is not great either. While the staff are very friendly, they do not frequently check in to see if you need anything. You often have to flag down the server to request more side dishes or water. Despite this, it remains a favorite spot for Sul-lung-tang because of the mother’s preference, so visits are frequent.
