The Pig and the Lady began as a pop-up restaurant, evolving from a farmer's market stand to a successful brick-and-mortar eatery. The restaurant is led by James Beard Award semifinalist Chef Andrew Le, with significant support from his family, particularly his mother, Mama Le. They essentially offer a family meal experience, presenting Honolulu diners with cuisine that has Vietnamese roots but is both eclectic and bold.
Chef Le and his team have reimagined traditional Southeast Asian food with a modern, fresh approach, using local ingredients. They serve their famous banh mi and pho, along with new favorite dishes. Chef Le is one of the few chefs creating contemporary food based on Southeast Asian flavors who has received rave reviews, building on the delicious memories introduced by his mother.
