Chun Wah Kam Noodle Factory - Ala Moana Introduction
Chun Wah Kam Noodle Factory was established in 1942 in Honolulu's Chinatown as a traditional noodle manufacturer. The founder, Wah Kam Chun, dedicated himself to providing fresh food made from local ingredients, and this philosophy continues today with the daily production of their noodle products.
In the 1960s, the business expanded and moved to McNeil Street in Kalihi, and it is now located at 505 Kalihi Street, where they produce fresh noodles every day. In 1988, Wah Kam Chun's son, Nelson, expanded the menu to include manapua, plate lunches, and dim sum items. A standout is their baked manapua, which took ten years to perfect and has become a signature item.
For over 75 years, Chun Wah Kam Noodle Factory has been committed to providing fresh, made-from-scratch products and using locally sourced ingredients, honoring the traditions and values of Hawaii. Be sure to visit during your trip to Hawaii!
