Aoki Teppanyaki is located near the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki and was previously known as Rocky Teppanyaki and Benihana. Upon entering the restaurant, guests first encounter a serene garden and a koi pond. The interior combines modern and traditional design elements, featuring bold red walls, wooden panel ceilings, and shoji screens imported from Japan.
Once seated at the family-style "teppanyaki" (iron plate grill) tables, guests are greeted by skilled chefs dressed in sleek, black uniforms inspired by samurai attire. Customers can choose from a diverse menu including Filet Mignon, Lobster, and A5 Wagyu beef from Japan. The dining experience is enhanced by the chefs preparing the selections with a fiery and dramatic display, coining the term "eater-tainment." Additionally, Kevin Aoki, the founder of Aoki Group, has included "Inaka" (countryside) comfort food items on the menu, inspired by his experiences visiting his grandfather's village in Wakayama, Japan.
Whether celebrating a special occasion or enjoying a fun night out with friends or family, Aoki Teppanyaki offers a unique dining experience that both locals and visitors will love.
